If you create an account (including via Google sign-in), we store your email address and any name Google provides. You can also check out without an account — in that case we only collect the email address you enter at payment.
Images you upload, AI-generated designs, and text/layout choices you make in the designer are stored so we can produce your mug and let you re-order or edit later. If you use AI image generation or style transfer, your prompt and/or uploaded photo is sent to our AI processing provider (see table below) to generate the result.
Shipping address, order contents, and order status, so we can fulfill and ship your order and let you look it up later (see "Track your order").
We never see or store your full card number or bank details. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe (see below) — we only receive confirmation that payment succeeded, plus a transaction reference.
Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and debugging purposes, retained briefly.
We use the following processors to run Mug'ers. Each only receives the data it needs to do its job:
| Provider | Purpose | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe | Payment processing | Payment details, billing/shipping name & address, email |
| Printify | Printing & shipping your mug | Your design file, shipping address, name |
| Supabase | Account login, database, file storage | Account/email, saved designs, order records |
| Optional sign-in | Email/name, only if you choose Google sign-in | |
| fal.ai / Ideogram | AI image generation | Your prompt and/or uploaded photo, only when you use AI generation |
| Railway, Vercel | Hosting our backend and website | Standard technical/server data |
Some of these providers process data outside Switzerland/the EEA (including in the US). Where that's the case, they do so under their own published data protection commitments (e.g. standard contractual clauses). We don't sell your data to anyone, and we don't use it for advertising.
Order and design records are kept as long as your account exists, or as long as needed to resolve a support request, warranty claim, or legal obligation (e.g. accounting records). You can ask us to delete your account and associated designs at any time — see Section 7.
We use essential cookies/local storage to keep you logged in and remember your in-progress design. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Under Swiss data protection law (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU GDPR, you can ask us to: tell you what data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, delete your data, or export it. Email info@mugers.com to make a request. If you're in the EU, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date below.
